The case for always having a decent camera available was once again made clear to me this morning as I stopped at one of my favorite spots to enjoy my morning coffee.  I come here often during the Osprey nesting season as there are two active platforms that are easily viewable. There are also tidal pools that often have various shore birds looking for a meal. I was soaking in the salty sea air and checking the marsh for a glimpse of one of nature's creatures when I was rewarded with a surprise encounter; a solitary fox who gave me - and my camera - a long inquisitive stare. This happend shortly after sunrise with the sun behind the trees to the left of the fox which accounts for the golden glow. I will return again at that golden hour and see if I can encounter my new friend again - I hope so!
